UPV Institutional Repository. https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.14583/883https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.14583/883This study examined the relationship among the factors influencing the academic success of college students namely: student’s perception of effective teacher interpersonal behavior and teaching method. A survey was done on 155 respondents using three instruments to measure the variables. The data gathered were analyzed using Multiple Regression. Results showed that students perceived the cooperative-type of teacher as more effective than the dominant-type. It was found that both subscale values of student’s perception of effective teacher interpersonal behavior namely dominance and cooperation were predictive of student’s academic success. Also, students perceived the student-centered method of teaching as more effective than the teacher-centered method. Furthermore, it was revealed that only the student-centered method was predictive of student’s academic success.vii, 51 p.Student's perceptionTeacher interpersonal behaviorTeaching methodAcademic successEducationLG 993.5 2015 P7 C36Perception of effective teacher interpersonal behavior and teaching method in relation to student's academic successThesisteachersattitudesacademic organizationsstudentscommunicationSDG 4 - Quality educationSDG 10 - Reduced inequalitiesSDG 8 - Decent work and economic growthSDG 3 - Good health and well-beingSDG 9 - Industry, innovation and infrastructure
